Witnessed Sigfried's hard work at the Cottonwood Spa. He was a wonderful human being.

Sigfried was smart and articulate. He was always ready to share his experience and knowledge about astronomy. I was inspired by one of his photos of the milky way when I was just learning. He is gone too soon and he will be missed by us all.

The time I knew him was relatively short, but my own life was the richer because of him.

My most sincere condolences to the entire Jachmann family for your sudden loss.
There is one more star in the heavens and I'm going to search for it until I find it. I know it must be somewhere near Epsilon Lyrae.

This is how I will remember Siegfried.

I can remember Siegfried's devotion to the Salt Lake Astronomical Society (SLAS). He was an earlier member, and was always enthusiastic about sharing his vast knowledge of the cosmos with others--especially those new to the hobby. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him, and it's sad more folks won't be able to enjoy the cosmos through his telescope. He was definitely one of the "good guys."

I have lost a friend of some 45 years, as have many of us. My sincere condolences to everyone in the Jachmann family. Siegfried was bigger than life, generous with his time and help, knowledgable in his advice, and had a sense of humor one had to experience to appreciate. The world is a smaller place without him and I will never forget him.

Siegfried will be missed in The Salt Lake Astronomical Society. I've been with him at several recent star parties, and always enjoyed having him around. I could tell how much he loved the sky, and how much he enjoyed sharing that love with others. He spent a lot of time looking up at the heavens, now I feel like he's up in the heavens looking down over all of us. Without him, our star parties won't be quite the same.
