BASHARA, SHARON LYNNE  
Sharon Lynne Bashara April 3, 1941 - December 15, 2014 Sharon leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, James; her three sons David, Thomas, and Gregory; and four grandchildren. Sharon touched many lives and was loved by so many people. She was a wonderful quilter and talented arts and crafter. She will be missed by many. Services will be held on January 5, 2015 at 10am at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA.

Johnson, Marvin Lyle  
Marvin Lyle Johnson November 22, 1935 - December 16, 2014 Marvin passed away in his home in Barstow CA surrounded by his family. His loving wife of 37 years, JoAnn, and his daughter, Maria, were by his side as he took his final breath. He was 79 years old. Marvin had a love of family, friendship and knowledge. His encyclopedic knowledge of the world was rarely matched, and he never missed an episode of his favorite television show, Jeopardy. He was an amazing, dependable and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Marvin had a large heart and was willing to go out of his way to help everyone. Our big dog will forever be missed. Marvin was born in San Pedro, CA to Glenn and Sigrid Johnson who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife JoAnn; 3 sons Sean (Nancy), Darren (Sonia) and Trevor (Nora); 2 daughters Maria (Ruben) and Madra; 20 grandchildren Jane (Steve), Darren (Claudia), John, Harlan, Shannon (Robert), Gabrielle (Anthony), Nicholas, Brett, Megan, James, Marilyn, Trevor Jr., Amanda, Dillon, Jayson, Raymond, Issabelle, Sarah, Victoria and Joshua; and 8 great-grandchildren Gable, Isaiah, Aiden, Paul, Alivia, Peyton, Valentina and Parker. Marvin will be laid to rest in Riverside National Cemetery on December 30th, 2014 at 9:15am in the Columbarium.

MACDOUGALL, JOHN ALAN (JACK)  
John (Jack) Alan Macdougall January 21, 1937 - December 15, 2014 John (Jack) Alan Macdougall, 77, of Victorville, CA died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on December 15th, 2014. Jack was born on January 21st, 1937 in Kansas City, MO. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Marge and Gordon Macdougall of Visalia, CA. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Virginia (Ginny) R. Macdougall, whom he adored; sister, Connie Squires (Carter) of Pleasanton, CA; children, Steven (Valerie), Lynn (Tim), Susan, Larry (Dixie), Louie (Marilyn), Lauri (Ross), Lisa (Tom), Lona and Lane (Krissi); 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grand- children. Jack graduated from Fontana High School in 1955 and continued his education at UC Berkeley. Jack worked as a paramedic for Kaiser Steel Mill in Fontana, CA for 23 years. Jack loved music, gardening and grew beautiful flowers. His passion was watching football. He was very smart and witty and always had a big smile on his face. He was very active in his churches, St. Lukes, Fontana, CA, St. Peters, Morro Bay, CA and St. Hilary's, Victorville, CA. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Hilary's Episcopal Church, 11305 Hesperia Rd., Hesperia, CA on Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the church.

Kathleen Anne Price November 5, 1948 - December 16, 2014 Kathleen Anne Price, 66, passed away on December 16th, 2014 in Victorville, California. Kathleen was born on November 5th, 1948 in Santa Monica, CA. She was a lifetime residence of California, residing in Hesperia for 13 years. Kathleen was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son Charles Price of San Bernardino, daughter Casey Price of San Bernardino, sons Travis Price of Victorville and Jerrad Price of Hesperia, CA, and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31st at 10:00 AM at First Congregation United Church of Christ, 3041 N. Sierra Way, San Bernardino, California with Petra Malleis-Sternberg officiating. Kern Hesperia Mortuary is handling the arrangements.

Howard Allen Berry October 2, 1924 - December 15, 2014 Howard was 90 of Fort Jones, Calif. He lived in Barstow from 1962 until 1995. Born in Reading, New York to Lawton and Ruth Berry. A veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for the MCLB and Yellow Freight. Howard's wife, Dorathy, passed away in 1993. He enjoyed flying (a private pilot) and riding motorcycles. Survivors are wife, Helen; sister, Doris; children, Dale (wife, Jo Ann), Dean and Donna; grandchildren, Jeff, Shannon, Jim and Dena and 10 great-grandchildren. Viewing Monday Dec. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. Services Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at Mead Mortuary.

Maria Martina Ceballos January 30, 1945 - December 11, 2014 Maria Martina Ceballos was born in Tohayana Chihuahua, Mexico on January 30, 1945. She passed away on December 11, 2014 in Apple Valley, California. She lived most of her life in Barstow. She is survived by her husband Trinidad Burgos Ceballos; children Valence Hamilton of Hesperia, Nicolas and Starla Ceballos of Victorville, Carlos Ceballos (deceased), Cecilio and Catalina Ceballos of Barstow, Rosa and Anthony Chavez of Hesperia, Jose and Soraya of Tijuana, Mexico, and Flora Ceballos of San Bernardino; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 5-7pm at Mead Mortuary. Church services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 9-11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Family and friends gathering will be at Cecilio Ceballos' house.

Cruse, Zelma "Louise"  
Zelma "Louise" Cruse December 23, 1919 - December 11, 2014 Zelma "Louise" Cruse passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 in Barstow California. Louise was born December 23rd, 1919 in Woodville, Alabama to Albert and Cyntha "Belle" Carlton. Louise was one of nine children and was the last surviving child. In 1940, Louise married her best friend Cia Fence C. Cruse and moved from Oklahoma to plant their roots in Barstow, where they raised their three boys together. Louise was a member of The Church of Christ for many, many years. She thoroughly enjoyed Del Taco lunch, sewing, baking, reading, and spending as much time as she could with her family. Louise had a heart of gold and would give anything she could to someone in need. She is survived by her three boys, Clarence A. Cruse, Edward L. Cruse, and Jimmy H. Cruse (wife Irina); her seven grandchildren, Scheri Cunningham (husband Stephen), Gregory Cruse, Carol Cruse, Jimmy Cruse Jr. (wife Cari), Chris Cruse (wife Darby), Carrie Cruse, and Ivan Cruse; 7 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and numerous relatives. Louise is preceded in death by Clarence C. Cruse (her husband of 56 years); her father Albert; her mother Belle Carlton, and her brothers and sisters. Services will be held Friday, December 19th, 2014 at Mead Mortuary. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m., services at 11 a.m. with graveside to follow.

DOUGLAS, DORIS  
Doris Douglas Doris Gwendolyne Douglas passed away on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at the age of 94, in Apple Valley, due to complications of old age. She was born in Eagletown, Oklahoma and was the last living child of ten children. She grew up in Oklahoma and in her teen years moved first to Arizona, and then to California. Doris married her sweetheart, Ross, and they had two children. Doris and Ross were married for sixty­seven years and had a full and rewarding life together. They traveled to many countries and continents together. Doris and Ross moved to Apple Valley in the early 1970s. Doris opened an arts and crafts studio and was a talented and successful business woman. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Ross, and her parents Frances and John Reid. She is survived by her children Jerry Douglas, Janice Myers, and son­in­law Boyd Myers. Doris is survived by her grandchildren Wendy Douglas, Robin Cox, Burke Myers, Douglas Myers, and step­grandchildren, Jozi Del Angel and Sari Mayhue. Their spouses include Melanie Myers, Joseph Cox, and Shawn Mayhue. Doris is also survived by her 9 great­grandchildren Cameron Myers, Hallie Myers, Ceili Myers, Kelcie Myers, Robert Cox, Logan Cox, Avery Banducci, and step­great-grandchildren Zoe Del Angel and Ryan Mayhue. Doris' family and friends will dearly miss her kindness, her willingness to help others, her talent, her sense of adventure, and her positive attitude toward life. We will fondly hold all the fun times memories in our hearts. The viewing will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley on Friday, December 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The services will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. and the reception will be held at 1:00 p.m.
