DONALD JOHN BARNES Donald John-the youngest of the "DJ's" died tragically in a truck and trailer crash in Athens, Tennessee on October 20th, 2012. While Don absolutely danced to a different drummer and always lived outside of the box, he was loved and will be missed. After our Father Donald Joseph was killed in Viet Nam 6/6/67 our Mom married Jim Steadham and at 8 yrs old Don became a "big brother" and our family moved to Apple Valley where Don finished his education. He worked many different jobs trying to find his place in this world. He married Kerri Santoro and together brought Leesa into their lives. He regretfully left his family to "find" himself in Tennessee. He'd say he messed up alot in this life but he was both proud and amazed that God blessed him with a daughter and son-neither of which he thought he deserved-but loved the only way he could. Step-father Jim Steadham predeceased him 4/24/2010 and our mother Joanna Elizabeth Kyle Barnes Steadham followed him to heaven 3/11/2011. He is survived by the only woman he married-Kerri, his daughter Leesa Danielle and son Donald Austin Barnes as well as his older "DJ" siblings: Donna June, Deborah Jo Anna, Daniel Joseph and David James and our brothers Roland William and his favorite Kyle Montgomery Steadham. He had many friends from every walk of life all over this country and we all take comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God-no powers or principalities-not even our mistakes. We will see Donald John again in Heaven without the demons that tormented him. God conquered death: living He loved us, dying He saved us, buried He carried our sins far away, rising He justified us freely forever! The Bible is filled with all of God's promises for us-God's love is unfailing! We've chosen a family gathering to celebrate the life of this brother, this dad, this uncle, this friend. Rest in peace little brother 'til we meet again.
