Floyd Saylor Jr.

FLOYD SAYLOR JR. 4/3/1930 - 4/1/2014 Mr. Saylor passed away April 1, 2014 in Loma Linda California. He was born in Hill City, Minnesota on April 3rd 1930. He lived in Phelan, California for 21 years. He served In the United States Army in the 187th Airborne during The Koren Conflict in which he received several medals including a Purple Heart. He then went on to work for Sealand and retired. Floyd was the First Vice Commander of The D.A.V. in both Fontana, California and presently in Victorville California. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife Trisha Saylor of Phelan, Ca, his daughter Elizabeth J. Saylor of Fontana, Ca, 2 bonus daughters, Kelly Scott (Jimmy) of Utah, Paula Hurst (Charles Doubleday) of Isleton, Ca, 3 grandsons, Jason Smallwood (Julie), Michael Davis (Lauren) of San Bernardino, Ca, Sgt Bobby Sweeney Jr (Sara) of Kuwait, 7 granddaughters Katie Scott of Utah, Sarah Wilson (Isaiah) of Utah, Jessica Scott of Las Vegas, Nevada, Amber Scott of Utah, Breanna Scott of Utah, Kacie Rodriguez (Stevie) Of Wasco, Ca, Patricia Lucas of Ohio, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins and many other wonderful friends. Memorial services will be held April 12th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The LDS Church, 8889 Sheep Creek Rd., Phelan, Ca 92371; lunch to follow. Interment will be held on April 15th, 2014 at 11:45 a.m. in Riverside, Ca at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca 92518 with full military honors.
