JOHN (JACK) THOMAS PHILLIPS 4/9/1933 - 1/10/2014 Jack, a 15 year resident of Apple Valley, was born on April 9th, 1933 in New York City, NY. He passed away in Apple Valley due to cardiac arrest on Jan. 10, 2014. Jack would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on 5/8/14. He was a truck driver for Steamship Trucking in NY in the early 1950's -1960's; and worked as an Operating Engineer at Cushman & Wakefield until 1981. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Elisha & Margaret Phillips; four brothers, 2 sisters, & grandson, John Lamon Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Phillips; daughter, Rosann Chilcote of San Francisco; sons, John Phillips (Veronica) of Moorpark, and Jerry T Phillips (Krishna) of Palmdale; numerous nieces and nephews on the East Coast; & mother-in-law, Elsie Brzezinski, who lives with them in Apple Valley. 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Jack kept himself busy by tinkering around with his Chevy Blazer, and doing household projects. He enjoyed shopping on the computer and loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all but he will always be in our hearts. God be with you Babe. Private services will be held on 2/15/14.
