Richard Louis Hendrickson

RICHARD (DICK) LOUIS HENDRICKSON Richard (Dick) Louis Hendrickson was 81 years old when God called him home to heaven on June 22, 2014. He was a resident of Hemet and is survived by his wife Linda, sons Greg (Melanie), Gary (Karen), and daughter Gwenda (Ben). Eight grandchildren Burton, Eric, Amanda (Charlie), Kyle, Jacob, Heidi (Jeff), and brothers Paul, Tom, and sister Carol. Dick proudly served in the United States Air Force and was wounded several times during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service to our country. Dick's life can be defined by his unwavering faith and love for God. He blessed the lives of numerous people through personal ministry, supporting programs with his participation, and giving unselfishly of his resources. Dick kept church vehicles operating, served on church boards, worked with people individually, and was involved with the food ministry at Valle Vista Assembly of God. Good men have aspired to be like him while the best of men will covet to imitate his heart and passion. Dick will forever be loved and missed by his family and friends. He fought the good fight and finished the race. Dick was laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery on July 3, 2014. A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Valle Vista Assembly of God at 45252 E. Florida Ave. Hemet, Ca. 92544. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Missionette ministry at Valle Vista Assembly of God.
