Rosie Rodriguez

ROSIE RODRIGUEZ "Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15. Rosie Rodriguez was born on September 4, 1926, in Victorville, California. She entered eternal life on March 30, 2013, at her home in Apple Valley surrounded by her two daughters. Although we are brokenhearted, "It is wonderful for our mom to be in the presence of her Savior on Easter morning." Rosie was a devoted wife, mother, and Christian, leaving behind a heritage to her children deeply rooted in the Word of God. She loved spending time with her family. Rosie also enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She worked in retail sales for many years before obtaining her California Real Estate License. She enjoyed her successful career as a realtor so much, she worked well into her eighties. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador Rodriguez, of 44 years. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Thrall and son-in-law, Don, Apple Valley; daughter Esther Strong, Apple Valley; son Bill Rodriguez, Sierra Vista, AZ; sister Vera Torres, San Bernardino; sister Evelyn Raymond, Fort Mohave, AZ; brother Paul Quintanar, Oro Grande; Bill Strong and Sharon Rodriguez. Her survivors also include her grandchildren, Julie Strong, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Dana Waltman, Apple Valley; Derek Rodriguez, Las Vegas, NV; and Lori Strong Vinton, Iowa. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kylie Packer, Sharyn Waltman, and Billy Waltman. Per Rosie's request there will not be a funeral service. However, there will be a Celebration of Life at her home on April 9, at 1:00 pm. Call 760.242.3416 for details.
