DAVID WILSON Obituary

DAVID HALIBURTON WILSON With deep sorrow the family of the Victorville Bride wish to announce the passing of DAVID HALIBURTON WILSON, "SKYKING", age 64 years young. David was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. Dad passed on Sept. 2 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Joyce, his children Lisa and Rob, Davey and Alice, Joseph and Courtney, Pamela and Rudy, Thomas, Jessica and PJ, Justin. Grandchildren Caleb, Cali, Alexis and Emma, and another on the way! Parents Charles and Patricia Wilson, sisters Annette and Rosey Posy. David was a kind, thoughtful, special person, he will always be remembered by the conversations he would strike up with strangers. Dad loved to learn about other peoples life stories. He was the most loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother and son you could ever wish for. Dad was known for his love of sailing, building, fixing and singing and flying. Buzzing Pasley in Canada with his Beech 18 aircraft, flying his kids to concerts and exploring the world with his family and their friends. He was creating memories for everyone who joined in. Davids quick wit, sense of humor and zest for life on the edge was really the best story of all! He will be sadly missed by all who was touched by him. RIP, Mr. Wilson. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Sept 7 at 12:00 The Seventh-day Adventist Church, 16070 Lorene Dr., Green Tree, Victorville. Respectful procession to Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, CA 92392. Dave Wilson, as a pilot, often flew over the funerals of those whom he loved and waved his wings as a final solute. In honor of his tradition, his newly wedded son in law, Robert Pantoja, will take his first flight lesson and wave his wings over the funeral of David Wilson. My only brother, gone to his maker, much too soon. My thoughts are with all his family, in Canada and at his home in California. May his legacy of non-judgemental acceptance of all, and his upbringing of hard work, and determination, be embraced and shared by all who knew him. Life is enriched with his legacy. May his memory inspire us to dream fully, and strive diligently toward our goals. Nothing worth accomplishing was ever achieved without enthusiasm, focus, and determination. David knew we could be anything we wanted to be, if we never gave up! David lovingly wished this for all his family. Make him proud! He will be with us always, in so many ways.

David Wilson, my son's father-in-law, always made me feel welcome at his home. He loved to tell me stories of his travels and his family. His family is his best legacy. His wife Joyce, and children, are a blessing to many. His memory will live on in their lives. May God our Father comfort you and ease your grief at this time. May His peace fill you and lift any heaviness. May love surround you in the days and weeks ahead.
