HAROLD F. VICKERS 2/7/1943 - 3/23/2014 Harold F. (Vick) Vickers, of Barstow, California, born February 7, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2014. Vick, retired as a CW2 after 21 years of service with the U.S. Army. He also was a Long Haul truck driver for Watkins and Shepard. Vick worked many years at Fort Irwin for JL Associates and Dyn Corp. He was also a life time member of the VFW and American Legion. Vick is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Verna; and wife, Leota Ann Vickers; two sisters, Francis Vickers Smith and Naoma Vickers Smith; one brother, William J. Vickers. He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Vickers; granddaughter, Melanie Pina; and two great-grandchildren, Andre and Aubery Pina; sister, Clara Bell Vickers Sexton; brother, James A. Vickers; and his Best Friend and fellow truck driver, Les Wilkerson. We love and miss you !! Services will be held at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, Barstow Ca, on Friday April 11, 2014. Visitation at 9 a.m. and Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside Ca. at 2:01 p.m.
