LLOYD C. EVENSEN Lloyd Evensen was born in Ismay, Montana on December 4, 1921. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 16, 2012 in Central Point, Oregon. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Rising of Grants Pass, Oregon, daughters, Sandy Bursick of Central Point, Sherry Cron and son-in-law, Dennis of Apple Valley, son, Don Prather and daughter-in-law, Donna Prather of Mennifee, eight grand-daughters, 10 great grandchildren , 1 great great granddaughter, many nephews and one niece. Lloyd was a WWII Veteran who served in the Pacific. He received the Purple Heart and remained active in the Marine Corp League and the High Desert Marines. He was able to attend the Marine Corp League Birthday Ball on November 10, 2012 and was the oldest Marine there. A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 9:30 AM at Apple Valley Church of the Nazarene, 12935 Central Road, Apple Valley with Pastor Thomas Taylor officiating.
