Bob was one of the smartest men I have known. Not just in "work" smart but life smart. As a young engineer Bob and I commuted to JPL from Hesperia for many years. In our time en-route I was always "educated" on the philosophies of life and work by Bob. He always seemed to be out there at first, but then what he told me became reality. He was an honest man and was someone I really looked up to. He will be missed. God speed Bob, see you on the other side.

I was Bob's secretary for years at Bendix/JPL. I remember many "pipe smoking" chats with him. He tried to take me under his wing offering advice (even when it wasn't asked for!). I will miss our yearly Christmas card exchanges. Your father was a kind and fair man.
