VICKI LYNN HARRIE 8/31/1949 - 10/27/2013 Vicki Lynn Harrie, 64, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home in Victorville, CA. Born on August 31, 1949 in Alhambra, CA; Vicki was well known throughout the High Desert as a charming social butterfly, and her presence will be deeply missed by the hundreds who knew and loved her. Vicki is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 46 years, Mike Harrie, her eldest son Michael Glenn, her son Jay Harrie and his wife, Noella, and her two grandchildren, L.J. and Alyssa Harrie both of whom she cherished and adored. She also leaves behind her "babies," Money and Precious, her sweet dogs who will be lost without her. Mike and Vicki Harrie moved to the High Desert in 1989 and shortly after, an article appeared in the Daily Press entitled "Mother Knows Best." This article was about her son Jay and his entrance into the local high school basketball scene. The article was a perfect example of Vicki's passion for her family and for life itself. She lived with great care and devotion for those she loved, and her presence sparkled just as bright as the beautiful jewelry she loved to wear! There will be a celebration of Vicki's life on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge located at 14041 Hesperia Rd, Victorville, CA 92395. A bright light dimmed when Vicki left her presence on this earth, but while those she left behind mourn their loss, the angels above rejoice that one of their brightest stars has come home.
