Gary Jackman peacefully passed away at home on January 18th, 2010. He was born in Santa Ana, California on May 1st, 1940. He attended Inglewood High School where he was a pole vaulter on the track team. He retired from Pacific Bell in 1996, after 37 years of service. Throughout the years he also enjoyed fishing, sailing, running, playing the piano and also was a Ham Radio operator with his call sign of "W6GWJ." He volunteered as a coach in little league when his sons were young.
Gary is survived by his wife, Nora, married 48 years, their three children, Roxanne Castro of San Bruno, California, and her husband Wilber, Kevin Jackman and Jeremy Jackman, of Hesperia, California, two grandchildren, Nikki and Austin. He also leaves behind his brother, Harry Jackman and his wife Marylou, and his brother Steve Jackman, his stepsister Cheryl Nelson, and his Step Mother, Margaret Hudson of Victorville, California.
He was preceded in death by his brother Keith, Mother Vivian, and Father Walter.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father and will be missed very much.
The memorial service was held at Desert View Memorial Park in Victorville.
