MARVIN ALEXANDER CHACON 10/17/1942 - 3/29/2013 Marvin Alexander Chacon Born Oct. 17, 1942, Sells, AZ. Passed away Good Friday, March 29, 2013. At his home with family around him. Marvin was preceded in death by son, Joseph L. M. Chacon his brothers, Luciano Ortega Jr. And Laurence Ortega. Marvin attended school in Barstow and later graduated from Barstow High School, in 1961. After High School, he married his school sweetheart, Cathy Doyle, Oct. 21, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He went into Civil Service at the wear house and later stocking shelves at the Fort Irwin Commissary Store. He later took Meat Cutting courses and got his degree, in Meat Cutting. He worked as a Meat Cutter for many years, and than became boss of the Meat Dept. At Fort Irwin Commissary. He retired after 35 years at Fort Irwin Calif. And kept in touch with many good friends. And he, loved his potbelly pigs, and working in the yard. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Chacon {Cathy Doyle 1960 Barstow High}, and their children Helen Chacon, Tammy Chacon and Juan Chacon. His Mother Juanita Ortega age 95 yrs. Old. And sister Helen Ortega and family. He had 4 grandchildren. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the doctors and nurses that helped him fight the big fight Cancer, and to Desert Pathways and Dorothy, who helped to ease his pain.
