I am saddened today to have learned of Scott's passing. We attended college together at Buena Vista University and lived on the same dorm floor. Although we lost track of each other after graduation, it warms my heart to read about the many young lives that Scott impacted in such a positive way throughout his life. He was a smart, kind and very fun guy in college. Coincidentally, his burial was on my birthday. RIP, Scott & heartfelt condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Scott's passing. He was a well liked and respected gentleman in the basketball coaching ranks. Our teams would often get together for scrimmages during the season. He will be missed. My brother Scott, who taught with him in Newton, has also had many fond memories of working with Scott. God's peace!

To the family of Scott Bosma, your Dad was a great teacher, role model and mentor. I know that one of my twin daughters had him as a teacher and am thinking it was Mallory, who wants to also be a teacher but they weren't sure maybe both of them had him in their heart cause they liked him so much. Hang in there God will give you some subtle but strong signs about how your Mom and Dad are now looking down on you...keep your faith strong and believe....

Mr. Bosma you were a great role model for me when I was in school. I was so happy when I learned my daughter would have you for a teacher a few years ago. You gave her the same inspiration that you gave me when I was her age. God Bless you. You will truly be missed! CM Class of 92

Mr. Bosma was one of my favorite teachers at Colfax-Mingo. He was such a huge impact on many. I will always remember him and Nancy coming to my grandpa & grandma's antique shop on a weekly basis and browsing for hours and we would chit chat about school stuff as well. My oldest daughter also had the privilege of having Nancy as a teacher. They were both amazing teachers. Rest In Peace.

Mr. Bosma was my teacher when Mingo was still just Mingo schools. He was amazing. Even now, all these years later, I tell my daughters stories about him and how he affected my life. He was a blessing to the teaching community for sure and to all that knew him. I am so sorry for your loss. Teri
