Allen Crouch, Sr., 71, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
Allen was born September 17, 1942 in Des Moines to Earl Given and Eva Amy (Malmberg) Crouch. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on December 29, 1960 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1964.
Allen is survived by his children: Cyndi Hoffman of Bellingham, WA, Allen Crouch, Jr. (Michelle St. John) and Allison Crouch, both of Des Moines; sisters: Nancy (Jack) Rose of Ankeny, Barbara Good of Des Moines and Susan Fitch of Minburn, IA; brothers: Donald (Rose) Crouch and Kenneth Crouch, both of Des Moines and Paul (Sharon) Crouch of Apopka, FL; as well as many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jason.
A special thank you to Vicki and Jeff Worthington for the special care and compassion they provided.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Glendale Cemetery.

It was my privilege to know Allen. It was an honor to be a part of his life and I will miss him. He was a good guy and I enjoyed his sense of humor and love of life.
