Scot Daughhetee

Scot died, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, after a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer. He was an inspiration to his family and many friends who loved him dearly. He was born, December 23, 1964 to Steve and Janet Stump Daughhetee in Charleston, Illinois.
He was a strong willed man who had many abilities, was called a jack of all trades. He was an avid Iowa State and St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Scot worked for several years at CARD Economics in Ames, before working the last 16 years at Principal Financial Group in Des Moines.
Scot is survived by his wife, Diann; and their children, Seth and Haley; his parents, Jan and Steve Daughhetee; sister, Julie Brown; his mother-in-law; Kathryn Dolores Eich; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Fern and Douglas Stump; Dwane and Kathryn Daughhetee and father-in-law, Leo Eich.
A visitation with the family present will be Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the St Mary's of Nazareth Catholic Church 4600 Meredith, Drive Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at the church, with cremation following services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Ste 550 Chicago, IL 60631 in loving memory of Scot Daughhetee.

Scot, I'll miss you. Nine years ago I started workign for you as a contractor. That gig ended, but I liked Des Moines so much I decided to stay. I will definatly miss getting together with you every few months.

So sorry to hear of the untimely loss of Scot. Such are life's vicissitudes that I'd not seen Scot for many years and was unaware of the great struggle he and his family have been through, but know now that the Alabama branch of the Daughhetee clan has you in mind.
