Born July 8, 1962, passed away January 2, 2013 from complications sustained in a motorcycle accident in 2000. A funeral service will be held at St. Gerald Catholic Church in Omaha on Monday, January 7, at 10:30 a.m. Pat is preceded in death by his brother John; grandparents Max Rankin, Jean Rankin McMorran, and Howard and Bernice Melcher; and uncle Steve Rankin. Survivors include his children Max (14) and Ryan (12); his wife Janelle, all of Omaha; parents Mike and Carolyn Melcher of Ankeny, IA; brother David (Cathi) Melcher; their children Bella and J.D., of Omaha; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loyal friends over the years.
