LInda Kuester Rogers, AK Linda Kuester, 69 of Rogers passed away May 25, 2015 in Bentonville. She was born March 5, 1946 the daughter of Amos and Arlene Lueth Justice. Linda was a school teacher and retired from Northside Elementary in Rogers and attended Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville. Survived by her husband Richard Kuester of the home; one son Nathan Kuester of Marion, Arkansas and one brother Dave Justice of Iowa. Lehmann, Randy - Pleasant Hill  
Randy Lehmann Pleasant Hill J. Randall Lehmann (Randy) born February 17, 1948 in Danville, Illinois passed away May 24, 2015 after complications from surgery. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Susan, his sons Brandon (Emily) of Seattle, WA, Kyle (Jenny) of Evansville, IN and Justin (Brooke) of Charlotte, NC, and 9 month old adored grandson Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Lorraine (Kuehl) Lehmann, and older brother Jeffrey Lehmann. Randy was a Northern Illinois University Graduate who had a long and successful career in Direct Marketing. He was a fantastic cook, a classic movie buff and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Da Bears and NASCAR. He enjoyed golf, travel, being part of the Pleasant Hill Political Action Committee, but most of all his family was very important to him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th between 10 and 11 at Lutheran Church of Hope Chapel in West Des Moines with Celebration of Life at 11:00 am, followed by lunch at the Church. LeMaster, Betty Lou - Boone  
Betty Lou LeMaster Boone Betty Lou LeMaster, 82, passed away peacefully and was welcomed into heaven on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Betty was born December 20, 1932 in Boone, Iowa to Noah Martin Benson and Cora Anna Marie (McNeley) Benson. Her childhood was spent in Boone, and then the family moved to Madrid, where she attended and graduated from Madrid High School. On June 7, 1951, she married the love of her life, Gerald Eugene LeMaster in Ottumwa. They started their married life on a farm outside of Granger and later acquired a farm north of Woodward, which became a Heritage Farm. Betty enjoyed working alongside her husband being excellent stewards of the farm entrusted to their care. Betty was a beautiful wife, a wonderful mother to three daughters, and a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild with another on the way. Her family was the joy of her life. Betty never missed an opportunity to applaud and cheer on her children and grandchildren. Having a sweet and joyful spirit, she showed love to everyone she met. She was actively involved in her community. When her children were young, she was a Sunday school teacher, a Campfire leader and a home-room mother. Along with friends and neighbors, she was a member of the Woodward United Methodist Church, Woodward United Methodist Church Women's group, JFA Bridge Club, Iowa Genealogy Society, and a Bowling League. Betty was an avid contract bridge player, and traveled the country earning the highest level of master. Other hobbies included genealogy research, reading, flower and vegetable gardening, piano playing, and cooking/baking. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Gerald LeMaster of Boone; daughters, Cathy & (Max) Sutton of Wichita, KS, Debra & (Patrick) Miner of Granger, and Linda & (Ralph) Heasley of Granger; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Sara (Miner) & (Matthew) Mulvaney with expected baby of Johnston, Lindsay Sutton of New York City, Daniel Heasley of West Des Moines, Matthew & (Kristen) Miner with Brantley of Granger, Laurie Sutton of New York City, Joseph Heasley of West Des Moines, Michael & (Kacey) Miner of Dallas Center, Benjamin Heasley of West Des Moines, Timothy Heasley of West Des Moines, and Anna Heasley of Granger; sisters-in-law, Violet Benson of Des Moines and Katie LeMaster of Granger; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was reunited with her parents, Martin and Marie, infant sister Eva Benson, and brothers Robert and James Benson. Her family will gather with friends to celebrate her precious life at a visitation scheduled Wednesday, May 27, 2015, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Woodward United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Woodward Cemetery. Eric Allen Locke Des Moines Eric Allen Locke, 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2015. Eric was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 16, 1962 to Tommy E. and Josephine H. Locke. Eric was loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Luthringer, Margaret B. - West Des Moines  
Margaret B. Luthringer West Des Moines Margaret Barbara Luthringer passed away peacefully on May 25, 2015. She was born to Urban and Dolly Volk in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1936. Maggie grew up in Erie with her parents and eight siblings. She was married to Paul Luthringer and raised four daughters. She and her family moved to West Des Moines, Iowa in 1974. She worked as an administrative assistant at Valley High School and later at L & L Insulation until her retirement. Maggie was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Church where she volunteered at the preschool, as well as helped provide meals and treats for community shelters. She and her white hair could often be seen selling tickets at various Valley sporting events where was recently recognized for her 30 years of service. She was a stranger to no one and friend to all, and could be counted on for showing support and thoughtfulness to all she loved and many she didn't know. Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Urban; her two sisters, Ann and Carolyn; and her daughter, Karen. She is survived by her three daughters, Arlene (Oscar), Diane, and Jeanette; her five grandchildren, Tori, Paul (Autumn), Daniel, Austin, and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Isabelle; siblings, Mary Lou (Bill), Jack, Donna, Ed (Phyllis), and Pat (Joe); as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Rd. in Des Moines on Friday, May 29 from 5-7- pm with a 7 pm Vigil to follow. A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 7075 Ashworth Rd. in West Des Moines on Saturday, May 30 at 9:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to HCI Care Services.

Mally, Ward - Ankeny  
Ward Mally Ankeny Ward Henry Mally, 97, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Mitchell Village Care Center with family at his side. A celebration of Ward's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First, Ankeny, Iowa 50023) with a visitation before the service from 10 - 11 a.m. Ward donated his body to the University of Iowa. Burial of his cremains will be held at a later date at Greenwood Friends Cemetery in Ankeny. Ward was born August 6, 1917 in Berwick to Henry and Mary Mally. He attended Yoder country school in Berwick and graduated from Ankeny High School. He attended Iowa State University, putting his studies on hold to enlist in the Navy from February 1942 to October 1945. He served aboard the Battleship USS Maryland during WWII. He finished his education and graduated from ISU following the war. Ward taught farming to returning war veterans, did carpentry work, had a nursery on his farm where he grafted trees and retired as a welder from Massey-Ferguson in 1982. His greatest love was nature and the outdoors. In his leisure time, you could find him building bluebird houses, grafting trees, hunting mushrooms or fishing. He was a long time judge at the Iowa State Fair and was an expert at judging nut entries. He also loved football and remained a loyal ISU fan. He looked forward to morning coffee with friends in Ankeny at Burger King and attending Cory Grove Church on Sundays. He was a quiet, but generous man --- donating his time and talents through his involvement in the Polk City Kiwanis, Ankeny Historical Society, Iowa Nut Growers Association and Izaak Walton League. Ward's family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and caregivers (both past and present) at Mitchell Village Care Center and Care Initiatives Hospice for the love and care they provided to him the past 4 years.
