William G. (Bill) Gosselink, 96, passed away Tuesday in the Long Term Care Unit at Pella Regional Health Center. Bill, the youngest of 10 children and the last surviving member of his siblings, spent his boyhood days on the family farm near Pella. He was the first member of his family to attend college and proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during World War II
. Following his discharge he resumed his career at the Rolscreen Company in Pella where he was manager of the Folding Door Department. Bill retired from Pella Corporation in 1982 after 40 years of service. He enjoyed spending winters in Arizona, golfing and was an excellent woodworker. Bill, husband of the late Ardella F. (Grandia) Gosselink, is survived by four children: Jerry D. (Lucy) Gosselink of Tucson, AZ, Gloria R. (K.C.) Valster of Pella, Greg Wm. (Dena) Gosselink of Urbandale, IA, Mark W. Gosselink of Pella; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella where he was a charter member. Visitation will begin after noon on Friday at the church where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.
