Johnny Howard Warner
Johnny Howard Warner, 61, passed away at his home Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Johnny was born April 28, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa to Dick and Hazel Warner. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam War
and was a member of the American Legion. He was a self employed painter. Johnny enjoyed puttering around, fixing things, music, playing his guitar, helping people, cooking, especially for his neighbors and he was an avid Hawkeye Fan.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Tina (Randy) Owens and Christina (Mike Gard) Warner; grandchildren, Randy II, Renee, Kim, Ashley, Devin and Issiah; three great-grandchildren; step-brother, Bobby Clark; sisters, Carol Gentry of Texas, Cheryl Offutt, Sharon Davis, Caren Davis and Cheri Warner, all of North Little Rock, Arkansas; dogs, Tender and Precious; and his best friend, Dan (Roxanne) Toomey. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Troy Warner; and his sister, Sheila Puckett.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Johnny will be buried at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
