Paul J. Milosevic, 88, of Des Moines formerly of Melcher-Dallas passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Fountain West Health Center.

Paul was born to Anton and Rose (Vidas) Milosevic on January 18, 1925 in Melcher, IA. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Milosevic witnessed the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945. He was a member of the Dallcher American Legion Post #632. Paul retired in 1975 from Super Value Warehouse in Des Moines. He enjoyed gardening talking on his CB Radio and in his younger years he enjoyed dancing and roller skating.

Survivors include: two children; Gregory (Alyce) Milosevic of Des Moines, Anthony (Linda) Milosevic of Woodland Park, CO, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers: Tom (Mary) Milosevic of AR and Joe Milosevic of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings: Frankie Pendleton, Helen Mularz, Mary Ann Kraft and John Milosevic.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas with Fr. Bill Wiegand officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery near Melcher-Dallas. Memorials may be given to the family.
