Dear Alice,
What a joy it was to come to know you when I moved to Iowa in 2004. I will always treasure our many phone conversations and the wonderful CD project of your organ music. Thank you for your friendship, your kindness, and the beautiful music which is a lasting legacy to so many!

Dear Alice Jordan,
You are in my thoughts every time I play one of your organ compositions from Organist's companion. While you stated that you were not first an organist, your music is such that it can and will always be played. When I play your works at church, conversations usually stop, because the listener is drawn in to hear the familiar melody expressed in a modern way. Your compositions make up half of my repertoire. My thanks to God for the wonderful gifts He gave to the world through you.

A wonderful musician and patron of the arts! We will miss her dearly. Students and Faculty from the Drake University Department of Music will make ourselves available for the memorial service on April 22. Please let us know how we can help.
