Betty Hayes Dixon, 80, of Richmond, California, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, after a year long battle with Lung Cancer.
Betty was a licensed Cosmetologist for over 55 years and lived a full active life.
She was deeply involved with family friends and many social and charitable organizations.
Betty is survived by her husband, James F. Dixon of 60 years, and her niece, Tamara DeVan-Watkins.
She is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Fouche's Hudson Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace", 3665 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, California.
Internment at Rolling Hills, Richmond, California.
