D. LeRoy Alexander

Des Moines

As of November 18, 2013, Heaven has a new resident. LeRoy Alexander is now in Glory with his Heavenly Father. LeRoy was born May 3, 1919, in Tingley, IA.

After an honorable discharge from the Air Force where he was stationed in England during WWII, he married Louise Ferree. They moved to Des Moines, where they raised their three children. LeRoy attended Community Baptist Church in Ankeny.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Ronald (Donna) Alexander of Vail, AZ; daughter, Maureen (John) Wooden of Milwaukee, WI; and son, Tom (Connie) Alexander of Des Moines. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., with a 9:30 a.m. service on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
