Deborah Sue (Robinson) Stalter, 61 died Monday, March 7, 2011 of a Thoracic Aneurysm. She was born on January 23, 1950 on her mother's 23rd birthday in Des Moines IA. She attended SE Polk Schools where she met Kevin Stalter. They both attended Iowa State University and were married on August 28, 1971. For the past 37 years she has been a fourth grade teacher at West Central Elementary. She also sponsored flags and the drill team and was actively involved with the Iowa State Drill Team Association. Debbie was involved in 4-H as the leader of the Harrison Hummers and attended Stuart Mt Vernon United Methodist Church. Debbie enjoyed traveling, including as a director of the United Nations tour over the past 22 years.
Debbie is survived by her husband Kevin, son Tobias Stalter, two daughters Jane Stalter Fujiwara (Motaoki) and Margaret Stalter, two Carin Terriers,Lissie and Looe, Siblings Diana Fry (Dave), Doug Robinson (Toni), and Todd Robinson (Terry). She was proceeded in death by her father, Duane, and her mother Jean. She will be great missed by a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the West Central Valley High School in Stuart IA, on Friday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. The visitation will be held at the Stuart Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Stuart on Thursday, March 10, from 5 to 9 p.m. Donations may be made to the Debbie Stalter Scholarship Memorial Fund.
