Doyle Woods, 82, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Mercy West Lakes Hospital in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Iles Funeral Homes - Westover Chapel. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 1:30pm, Tuesday at Union Cemetery, Rural Murray, Iowa.
Doyle was born on May 7, 1930, the son of Cecil and Freda Woods in Clarke County, Iowa. He had lived in the Dallas Center area since 1955. Doyle was a self employed contractor and a longtime member and Past Master of the Delta Masonic Lodge in Dallas Center. He was also a member of the Rhinehart Eastern Star Chapter 453.
Doyle is survived by his sons: Vincent Woods and Victor (Rochelle Noble) Woods; their mother, Roxanna Woods; brothers, Darrel (Barb) Woods and Devon "Butch" (Suzy) Woods and a step brother, Donald (Bonnie) Simmerman.
