Jacqueline (Jackie) Shedd

After a remarkable battle with cancer, Jacqueline (Jackie) Kay Shedd died on December 14, 2014 in Winterset, IA at the age of 67. Jackie was born on June 27, 1947 to father Oliver (Jack) Field and mother Vivian (Babe) Field of Rockford, Iowa, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Keith Shedd; her daughters, Andrea Havig and Dana Jordan; and her son, Neil Trevett. She is survived by her husband and children, as well as her grandchildren; Ryan Jordan, Jesse and Jack Havig.

Among her many talents, Jackie taught ballet and tap dance lessons for many years, raised national winning Arabian horses at Ironwood Farms and Jacob sheep as Eagle Creek Jacobs where she raised her own high quality sheep for wool. She also enjoyed hand spinning the own wool and knitting her own line of products! She also painted beautiful oil paintings and murals, and designed and built her own log home with husband Keith.

Jackie enjoyed musical theater, retail therapy (shopping on ebay and amazon), and riding fast, high-spirited horses. She especially loved American Saddlebred horses as well as Arabians and Speed Racking horses.

Jackie requested to be cremated and her ash to be spread over her horse's grave on the property where she resided with husband Keith in Madison County, Iowa. A remembrance will be held at the Northside Café (61 East Jefferson) in Winterset, Iowa this Saturday 12/20/14 from 3-5 PM.
