Dear Jan,
Alice and I are greatly saddened by Joe's death. We missed contacting you this winter and were planning to see you both in September while we are in Des Moines. We have lost a friend and very special person.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Joe who was a teammate at North High School. He was a quiet gentleman who gave you 100% in anything he would do. A consistently steady individual you could always count on to give you his best. Would only get to see Joe at class reunions or chance meetings but he will be greatly missed. My condolence and sympathy to the family.

What a special person! It was superb having Joe and Jan with us at last year's North High 60th reunion events. The halls of North High are diminished with Joe's passing. Prayers and thoughts to Jan and family. Joe's 1953 North High class page: http://www.ndmhs.com/pages/invite.html
