Maxine Dolan, 94, of Windsor Heights passed away at the Bright Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines on Monday, April 25, 2011. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Windsor Presbyterian Church, 6301 University Avenue, Windsor Heights Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Boulevard, Clive, Iowa on Wednesday, April 27. Interment will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
Maxine was born on December 27, 1916 in Greene County, Iowa to Fred and Pearl (Kinkead) Molle. She graduated from Cooper High School and attended beauty school.
She was a member of the Beaverdale Woman's Auxiliary VFW Post 9127 and the Windsor Presbyterian Church. She was active at the Walnut Creek YMCA.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Jim (Sandy) Brown of West Des Moines; daughters, Sandra Smith of West Des Moines, Karen (Jerry) Dennis of Des Moines, Eleanor (Joe) Vivone of Des Moines, Kimberly Case of Des Moines, and Deborah (David) Santage of Queen Creek, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen (Betty) Molle of Cooper, Iowa; sister, Eleanor Meinecke of Jamaica, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Presbyterian Church.
