Paul "Dick" Tilton, age 77, of Carroll passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his residence in Carroll.
Dick was born on November 9, 1934 in Carroll, and he was the son of Harry and Adah (Peacock) Tilton. He was married to Cleo Kaiser on December 30, 1962 at First Presbyterian Church in Paulina. He served in the US Air Force for four years. He owned and operated HR Cleaners in Carroll for many years. Dick is survived by his wife Cleo of Carroll and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll. The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the service in the church fellowship hall. A private graveside service with military honors by the Carroll American Legion will be held at the Carroll City Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in Carroll, Cardiac Rehab at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll or the Animal Rescue League Des Moines.
