Virginia (Kempkes) Ver Meer, 92, passed away March 20, 2014, at the Pella Regional Health Center. Virginia is survived by her husband for 67 years, John P. Ver Meer; their two children and their spouses: Don and Shellie Ver Meer of Laguna Hills, CA, Marti and Joel Vandevoort of Las Vegas, NV; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elisabeth Van Horn of Salem, VA. Funeral Services, Friday, April 4 at 11 a.m. Second Reformed Church, Pella, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3 at Van Dyk- Duven Funeral Home where the family will be present Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
