Lucille A. Keller

Dallas Center

Lucille Keller, 91, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. Burial will follow services at Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center.

Lucille was born in Yukon, MO and lived most of her life in the Dallas Center area. She enjoyed helping her husband Clarence on the farm, gardening and mowing her yard. Lucille was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Des Moines.

Lucille is survived by her children, James (Pam) Keller of Waukee, Mark (Darlene) Keller of Harrisonburg, VA, Aaron (Kathy) Keller of Ames, and Joanna (Kevin) Stewart of Westminster, CO; grandchildren, Caleb Keller, Zachary Keller, Jessica Stagg, Micah Shristi, Joel Keller, Luke Reesor-Keller, Andy Stewart, Nick Stewart, Andrea Wessels, Christopher Stanley and Kady Godfrey; eleven great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Fern Dickey, Betty Schneider, Mary Lou Moore and Ray (Genelle) Chambers, all of Urbandale, Shirley Shields of Kansas City, MO, and Wanda Chambers of Davenport, FL. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, daughter, Kathleen Keller, and her brothers, Harvey, Donald and Wayne Chambers.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday at Iles-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Spurgeon Manor. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
