Pearl Lorraine Chickett

Des Moines

Pearl Lorraine Chickett passed away at her home March 25, 2014.

Pearl was born April 5, 1932 in Canby, Minnesota to Earl and Lena Rock. She married Michael Edward Chickett on April 11, 1966. Pearl worked for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in St. Paul, Minnesota until the spring of 1997 when she moved to Des Moines. She loved spending time with family, making ornaments and working with plastic canvas.

Pearl is survived by her sister, Kathleen Smith of Des Moines; brother, Ellis (Gerry) Rock of Why, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Chickett; brother, Gail Rock; and sisters, Evelyn Nelson, Pat (Eunice) Ross and Irene Ross.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Pearl will be laid to rest with her husband Michael at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Bloomington, Minnesota on Friday, March 28, 2014 promptly at 11:30 a.m.
