Betty Lou Bragg passed away on December 13, 2013. She was born in Dallas County on May 20, 1938 to Dean and Betty (Rhine) Minshall. She is survived by her sons, Danny (Lori) Hagen of Van Meter and Terry (Pam) Hagen of Perry; her granddaughter, Kelsey Hagen of Van Meter; two sisters, Deanna Buel of Van Meter and Nancy (Frank) Ross of Tomah, WI; brother Eugene Minshall of Perry; brother-in-law Don Lemon of Van Meter; step-daughters Peggy Bragg and Pam Smith of Des Moines; step-grandchildren, Melodie Cushman of Platteville, WI and Sarah Bragg of Des Moines; and step-great-grandchildren, James and Cody Cushman and Jeremiah Rardin of Platteville, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Betty Lou was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Lemon, brother Joe Mooney, husbands James Bragg and Marvin Hagen, and step-granddaughter, Samantha Bragg.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of John Stoddard Cancer Center and Hospice In-Home Care for all their kindness and help.

According to her wishes, she has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on May 3, 2014, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 1020 24th Street, West Des Moines.

Memorials may be given to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church or John Stoddard Cancer Center.
