Lillian Smith, 95, was born September 29, 1918, to Arthur and Ada Harrington in Boone, Iowa. She passed away April 28, 2014, at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa.

Lillian was a member of Johnston Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a dealer for Stanley Home Products for more than 40 years in addition to playing piano for the Old Timer's Band.

Lillian is survived by her daughters, Donna Eaton and Rosalie McKinley; six grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy; grandson, Steve McKinley; as well as 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial at Lincoln Cemetery in Polk City. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
