Dorothy Elizabeth Kime

Dorothy Kime, 94, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Fountain West Care Center from complications of a hip fracture and Alzheimer's. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Dorothy was born February 16, 1920 in Peoria, IL to Thomas and Armella Vogel. She graduated from Cleveland High School in St. Louis, MO. Dorothy married Thomas Perry on June 15, 1940 but divorced in 1961. She then met Henry Kime and they were married in 1964. Dorothy was very active as a leader in Camp Fire for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ, houseplants, and a variety of crafts from aluminum tray etching to crocheting afghans.
Left to cherish Dorothy's memory is her daughter, Sandra Holland of West Des Moines; sister, Neita Derrough of Urbandale; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; daughter, Patricia Fenner; son, Thomas Perry; and grandson, Everett Fenner.
