He was baptized at Wakonda Christian Church; sharing his faith through his musical talents while attending several churches in the Des Moines area. During the last year, Scott courageously battled melanoma throughout which his faith was unwavering.
In 1984 he married Gloria Sears and to that union were born Courtney Jean and Derek Levi. His children and grandchildren were the focus of his life and brought him much purpose and joy.
Scott loved music and taught himself to play both the six string and bass guitar. He had a rich bass voice, singing in swing choir in high school and many church choirs. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on his Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals. Scott was also a proud Southsider. He enjoyed visiting and capturing the scenery in many of the area parks.
