Keith W. Hoberg was born in Bemidji, Minnesota. He graduated from Bemidji High School in 1944 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy Medical Corp. He attended the University of Minnesota and Bemidji State University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in 1950.

He married Elaine J. Lindfors on December 17, 1950, in Fosston, Minnesota. He was recalled to the Navy in February 1951. Upon his discharge, he taught science and was head football and track coach at Bagley, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a master's degree in 1958.

In June 1958, he began his career with the Roerig Division of Pfizer Inc. as a field representative in Fargo, North Dakota. He was promoted to management and relocated to Des Moines, Iowa in 1963 and to Texas in 1978. He retired in 1989 after 31 years of service.

Keith died March 12, 2012, in Tyler, Texas. He was cremated. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elaine, Tyler, Texas; their daughter, Kristine (Randi) Smith, Des Moines, Iowa; their son, Eric Hoberg, Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Natalie Gresham (Art) Jennings, Millbrook, Alabama; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter; Sheila Ann; his brother Dwaine; and his son-in-law, John S. Gresham.

A family graveside service with military honors will be on held June 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, at the Quality Inn & Suites, 4995 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa. Online condolences may be sent to
