Robert W. Pierce left this earth on Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was born on July 13, 1927 to Frank and Pauline Beloy Pierce in Madrid, Iowa.

Funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St Cecilia's Catholic Church in Panora at 220 N 1st St. Burial will be 2 PM in Peoples Cemetery in rural Boone County. Visitation is Monday, February 4 from 2 to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. at Twigg Funeral home in Panora.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ada (Nelson) Pierce, 4 sons Dave (Cindy) Pierce of West Des Moines, Rod (Julie) Pierce of Woodward, Jeff (Kathy) Pierce of Ogden, Tom (Brenda) Pierce of Ogden. 12 grandchildren Tami (Sean) Hedenskog, James (Gibson) Pierce, Jill (Bill) Stineman, Bret (fiancé Elizabeth Frederick) Pierce, Matthew (Mary) Pierce, Mark (fiancé Lee Christensen)Pierce, Steven (fiancé Caitlin Hoium) Pierce, Scott Pierce, Kari Pierce, Erin (Casey) Finn, Eric Pierce and Andrew Pierce. Six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pauline and his brother Carl. Graduated from Woodward High School and served in the Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1946. He farmed near Woodward until 1990 when he retired to Lake Panorama. He loved woodworking, fishing and all sports.
