Mosie Harold Bickford was born October 1st 1925 in Waukee, Iowa. Mosie was Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Neer; father, Mosie Jefferson; mother, Dora Bickford; sister, Louise; brother, Johnny Vera and twin brother, Gerold. Mosie was a father of four children, Susie Jennings deceased, Jane pepel (David Dick ), Debra Davis (Terry Davis), and Brian Bickford; 17 great grand children and 1-great great grandchild. Harold Lived in Avon Lake most of his life. Harold served in WWII from 1943-1946 and was also a Navy Seaman First Class on the U.S Fan Saw Bay flag ship. Harold was in the battles lady Gulf, Sipan and Samar as a gunner. Harold was a dredge operator at Hallet Material and in the Teamsters Union. Mosie retired at the age of 62. He loved to fish and a big fan of wrestling, and other sports. He had many, many friends. Mosie was a very gentle guy and a big animal lover. Visitation for Mosie will be from 5- 7 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Peterson's Funeral Home, 415 School, Carlisle, Iowa. His Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 also at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at
