Donald Brugioni, 83, was born June 30, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away April 21, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
Donald graduated from East High School in 1948. He served in the Korean War, stationed in Juno, Alaska until his honorable discharge in 1953.
He worked for many years at the S & S Cleaner Company in Des Moines. Donald enjoyed spending time in his garden and working on and showing his antique cars. Most important to Donald was his family, he lived on the same street with his brothers and sisters for nearly sixty years.
Donald is survived by his nephews, George Donati and Dennis (Carolyn) Brugioni; and niece, Linda Kay (Jim) Brauer; a great nephew, Ryan Brugioni and sister-in-law, Edris Brugioni. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Ernesta Brugioni, brothers, Deno and Darrell Brugioni; sisters, Desma Kasper, Delma Donati and Dena Johnson; great nephew, Sean Brugioni and a great niece, Lisa Brugioni.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, Iowa. Burial will be at the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the church, with a Prayer Service following at 7:00 pm.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Church in loving memory of Donald.
