Paul Donohue Obituary
PAUL GORDON, MD age 79, of Beverly Hills, Michigan passed away July 7, 2016. He served two tours of active duty during the Vietnam War and was a syndicated columnist for over 30 years. Dear son of the late Beatrice and Gordon; beloved brother to Mary Ann Dirkes and the late Thomas Donohue; brother-in-law to Roy Dirkes and Joanne Donohue; and loving uncle to several nieces, nephews, their spouses, great-nieces and great-nephews, their spouses, and a great-great-niece. He will be missed by all dearly. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (St. Fatima Church), 13500 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, MI. Memorials may be made to Assured Hospice Care, 25180 Lahser Rd., Suite 200, Southfield, MI 48033.

I had the privilege to be a classmate with Paul through seminary High School and College. He was always the smartest in our class. I was able to follow Paul on his syndicated column as I spent time traveling in business and on occasion on the telephone from home. All of us considered Paul a rare talent and a special friend.

Paul and I spent six yeas together in a seminary school. He was the brain of our class and every one's friend. I was able to follow Paul on his syndicated column while traveling the states when I was in management consulting and we conversed on the internet and on couple occasions on the phone. He is missed now by his family, friends and those he touched. Blessings to all. Dan

I worked with Dr. Donohue as his editor for many years. He was as genuine and warm as he came across in his medical advice column. He was generous with his time and experience, a real human being. He will be missed greatly both by me, my co-workers and the legions of fans and readers whose woes he cared for and tended. A wonderful soul who will not be forgotten.
