Paul S. Curtis, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at University Baptist Church. Interment: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Memorials: University Baptist Church, Agape Baptist Church, and the International Rotary Foundation. Paul was born in Michigan and moved to Fort Worth as an infant. He attended Baylor University and graduated from the University of Texas. Upon joining the Army Air Force, he was stationed in Germany and was part of the Berlin Air Lift. His business career began with Southwest Motor Club. He was then district manager, regional manager, and staff director of Public and Government Affairs for the Texas Division of AAA. After retirement in 1987, he worked for AMR, which provided many flights for trips with his family. Paul had been an active Rotarian since 1956; recently as a member of Rotary Club of Fort Worth, Southwest. He was a Paul Harris Fellow. A longtime member of University Baptist Church where he met Alice, he served as a life deacon and ministered to many homebound members. Paul will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors: The family whom he loved, wife of 56 years, Alice; children, Robert "Bob," Paula Schwartz and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Hunter (serving in Afghanistan), Rylan, Austin, Reagan, Mallory and Cullen Merchen; niece, Karen Dimler and husband, Bob; nephew, Stan Marett and wife, Susie; many extended family members and friends.
