Allen, Alta Martin - Colleyville  
Alta Mae Martin Allen, born Dec. 12, 1933, died Thursday, April 16, 2015. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Alta was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Roy Eugene "Bud" Martin, from Wyoming. Survivors: Her husband, Clarence Leonard Allen of Colleyville; sister, Dorothy Fae Atherton of Conroe; her children, Jerry and Carolyn Allen of Colleyville, Judy and Charles McRae of Houston, Lenny and Becky Allen of Ruidoso, N.M., and Ginger and Curtis Williamson of Ruidoso, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.

Anderson, Jeannie - White Settlement  
Jeannie Anderson, 75, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet. Jeannie was born Feb. 13, 1940, in Rising Star to Floyd and Maurine Gales. She lived in Kansas and Missouri for a few years before returning to Fort Worth in 1958. Jeannie and Cecil chose White Settlement to make their home in 1968 and raise their children. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of the Eastern Star Castleberry Chapter #1028, and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Chapter #5217 in White Settlement. Jeannie was an insurance agent/staff manager for Shannon's Life Insurance Co. until she retired in 1992 due to health. She loved being active in politics; her husband, Cecil and son, Danny, were both city councilmen in White Settlement. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Cecil N. Anderson; her father, Floyd E. Gales; and brother, Floyd W. Gales. Survivors: Sons, Scott Anderson and wife, Dorthy, of Weatherford, Danny Anderson and James Anderson of White Settlement; daughters, Katrina Gage and husband, Tim, of White Settlement, Kathy Colevris and husband, Scott, of Brownsboro; grandchildren, Candace and husband, Matt Addington, of Aledo, Logan and wife, Lindsay, of Azle, Jordan Anderson and fiancee, Whitnie Holland, of Grove, Okla., Zachary Griffith of Orlando, Fla., Trevor and Brandie Gage, Kevin and Kristin Gage, Taylor Anderson, all of White Settlement; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Ellie Kate and Audrey Addington, Gavin, Brayden and Caysen Anderson, Chastity, Kaylie and Hunter Gage, Kamron and Kerigan Gage; her mother, Maurine Sparks; brother, Ted Gales; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ackerman, Harry - Grapevine  
Harry "Pops" Ackerman, 95, passed peacefully in his sleep Monday, April 13, 2015. Harry grew up in Southern California and Reno, Nev. He entered active duty Jan. 10, 1942, in World War II. He distinguished himself flying as a navigator in the 8th Air Force, 91st Bomb Group, on the B-17 and the 34th Bomb Group flying the B-24. Maj. Harry Ackerman left the Air Force for a 38-year-long career with Morrison-Knudesen. He was stationed mostly in the Far East where he met his wife, June, in Colombo, Ceylon. They moved to Texas in 1989 to be near their family, whom they adored with all their hearts. Harry's devotion to his family and love of life will be missed by all who knew and loved him! The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers of Meadowood Assisted Living in Grapevine and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and devotion. We take great solace in knowing Harry lived a full and blessed life surrounded by great friends and family. Survivors: Daughter, Sally June Casey; son-in-law, Mike Casey; granddaughter, Junell Casey-DuBois, husband, Matt, and children, Landry and Luke; and grandson, Capt. Mike Casey and wife, Kyllie.

Adelina "Lena" Aguilera, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Memorial service: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Knights of Columbus Hall on Yucca Ave. Lena was born May 2, 1930 in Lafayette, Colo. When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Eunice Alexander fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Service: Her memorial of celebration was noon Saturday, April 11, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, the Rev. W.T. Glynn celebrant. She was predeceased by a daughter, Stephanie Alexander. Armstrong, Mary Ruth Swearingen - Fort Worth  
Mary Ruth Swearingen Armstrong, loving wife, sister, aunt and respected nurse, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, April 11, 2015 Mrs. Armstrong was 94 years old. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton St. Following committal prayers, she will laid to rest next to her husband, George, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Robertson Mueller Harper with a recitation of the holy rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Born Sept. 6, 1919, Mary Ruth was the daughter of James and Mary Margaret Hughes Swearingen. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing before serving as a nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II. She was stationed at Okinawa and Japan before returning to Fort Worth and joining the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital. She retired from the hospital after 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, seven brothers and two sisters. Survivors: In addition to her nephew, Martin Swearingen, Mary Ruth is survived by her niece, Jan Swearingen; nephew, Philip Armstrong; two great-nieces; four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
