Janszen, Doris - Kopperl  
Doris Janszen, 97, a godly wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, formerly from Hurst, passed quietly into the presence of her Lord on Friday morning, April 29, 2016, in Kopperl. Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home with visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to SMP, 8050 Precinct Line Road, Colleyville, Texas 76034 and First Baptist Church of Hurst, 1801 Norwood Drive, Hurst. In 1944, Doris met the love of her life, E.A. "Pete" Janszen. He was a truck driver, and she was his waitress. Pete proposed to Doris over the phone, and they married on July 22, 1944, in Port LaVaca. They lived in Liberator Village in Fort Worth, and soon settled in Hurst with their twin babies, Mike and Sue. They were residents of Hurst for 58 years. Doris and Pete were married for nearly 64 years. Over the years, Doris shared her gifts with family, friends and neighbors. She worked in Marcine's Dress Shop, and may be best remembered as a secretary at Hurst Junior High. While residing in Hurst, Doris was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hurst. They raised a strong family that continues to grow in number and stays strong in Christ. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and her son, Mike Janszen. Survivors: Her daughter, Sue Wise and husband, Tommy; her daughter-in-law, Jan Janszen; grandchildren, Janalynn Ford, Jamie Rutledge, Tully Janszen, Joy Sugg, Jacob Wise and Jennifer Burge; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Jara, Jacinta "Chinta" - Fort Worth  
Jacinta "Chinta" Jara passed away Friday, April 29, 2016. Service: Noon Wednesday, St. Andrews Catholic Church, 3314 Dryden Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Visitation: Open. Jacinta "Chinta" Jara lived a life of service for nearly 96 years. She was born May 25, 1920, in Cisco to Arnulfo Saavedra and Elena Benavides Saavedra. Always supporting her husband in his constant efforts to advance justice for all, Chinta was left with an irrecoverable broken heart after his death in 1985. However, her faith, strength and courage served as a model for her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Several books and local publications have chronicled the love and effort of her selfless work, alongside her husband, Manuel Jara, to improve the lives of so many in Fort Worth and beyond. Her spirit will always be with her family and her beloved and devoted caregivers, Gheyza Williams and Debbie Robinson. One of nine children, she was preceded in death by five siblings; her husband, Manuel Jara; and daughter, Mary Jara Wright. Survivors: Her daughter, Jo Linda Jara Martinez and husband, Jesse; grandchildren, Manuel Jara Martinez (April), Mari Gonzales (David), Monica Gonzalez (Michael), Melinda Martinez (Jaime); 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Olga Scoma, Lydia San Fillippo; and brother, Raymond Zepeda.

Jones, Charles Pierce - Mansfield  
Charles Pierce Jones, 94, departed this life for his heavenly home on Saturday, April 30, 2016, to meet his Savior, family and friends. Service: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Memorials: Donations may be made to Arlington Community Church, P.O. Box 120354, Arlington, Texas 76012 or a charity of choice. Pierce was born in Waxahachie on June 12, 1921, one of twin boys, to Charles and Gussie Jones and lived in Mansfield since 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Battleship New Mexico and was in the service from Aug. 23, 1942, until Dec. 9, 1949. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents; a stillborn twin brother; brother, J.D. Jones; and a stillborn baby son, Charles Elliott. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Brewton Jones; nephew, David Jones and wife, Pam; nieces, Diane Trojacek and husband, Don, and Cheryl Hadley; many other nieces and nephews.

Jones, Donovan - Richardson  
Donovan Jones, 88, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Robert Oglesby, minister of Waterview Church of Christ, will officiate the service. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Foster's Home for Children, P.O. Box 978 Stephenville, Texas 76401. Donovan was born July 9, 1927, in Fort Worth and graduated from Fort Worth Technical High School in 1944 at 16 years old. He served for one year in the navy, stationed in Hawaii, and discharged in 1946 since the war had ended. In 1948, he began his career with Chevrolet Motor Division. Don enjoyed many positions with Chevrolet and had the opportunity to live all over the United States, finally "coming home to Texas" in 1973. He retired in October 1982 after almost 34 years of service. Donovan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Willie; and brothers, Chester and Ralph. Survivors: Daughters, Janice Crosswhite and Donna Hirt and husband, David; grandchildren, Alicia Crosswhite and Blake, Connor and Dawson Hirt.
