Allen, Nancy Evetts - Arlington  
Nancy Evetts Allen, 59, of Arlington passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, after a prolonged illness. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: Since Nancy loved animals so much, in lieu of flowers, if one so be inclined, a donation to your local SPCA would be in line with the family's wishes. Nancy was born March 5, 1956, in Fort Worth to Harold Gene Evetts and the late Norma Jo Moore. Throughout her life, Nancy had a profound love for all creatures, particularly her horses, dogs and ducks. Her greatest love was for her family and friends. She prayed for all of them often and never missed an opportunity to give a great big hug. Nancy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Former Texas Rangers Association. She enjoyed barrel racing, tennis and volleyball. Survivors: Nancy is survived by her husband, Larry, of 28 years; her parents, Harold and Joye Evetts; sisters, Phyllis Evetts (Charles), Kathy Glibert (Jess); brother, David Lancaster (Debbie); father and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Allen; sisters-in-law, Cathy McCoy (Richard), Mary Kay Swenson (Barry), Jane Jones (Russell) and Jill Mach (Patrick); 24 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Allen, Richard Edward - Benbrook  
Richard Edward Allen, 86, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Edward was born Jan. 17, 1929, to Clarence Allen of Justin and the former Louella Fry of Denton. He married Mary Ann McLain of Hillsboro in 1952. Edward graduated from Denton High School where he played football and basketball, and was a competitive swimmer. He was a lifeguard during his years at North Texas State in Denton. Edward was employed by General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for 44 years as a senior test engineer specialist. He helped design the fuselage and trajectory systems for many of the aircraft there, and he set up the Engineering Standards Lab for his department. Edward was in the Navy Reserve for eight years and was a Boy Scout leader in Troop 95. He will always be remembered for how kind he was and how loved he was by many. Survivors: Edward is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Allen; children, Julia Echols, Greg Allen and Dan Allen; grandchildren, Jacob King, Rachel Barker and Amber Hardin; great-grandchildren, Brook and Asher King, and Kennedy Hardin; brothers, Joe Allen and David Allen; and sister, Samilou Smith.

Cathy Ann Anderson, 56, departed this life Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Mansfield. Service: A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cathy was born May 22, 1958, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., to James A. and Katherine Reed. She became a registered nurse soon after high school and obtained her master's degree and became a pediatric nurse practitioner. Cathy felt joy in helping children during her career. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Oscar Pike. Survivors: Husband, Wally Anderson; son, Thomas H. Smith III (Becky); stepsons, Sean M. Anderson (Sara) and Timothy L. Anderson (Jennifer); sister, Jami Snawder (Robert); cherished grandchildren, Thomas H. Smith IV, Mackenzie G. Smith, Liam M. Anderson and Erik T. Anderson; and nephews, Bobby, Ben and David.

Anderson Jr., Roy Leonard - Arlington  
Roy Leonard Anderson Jr., 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Interment: 10 a.m. Monday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Born March 3, 1948, in Vincennes, Ind., he was the only child of Georgia Rose Patheal and Roy Leonard Anderson Sr. Roy joined the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at UTA and earned his bachelor's degree in 1971, remaining highly involved not only in the fraternity but also in fund raisers, golf tournaments, the Boys and Girls Club, and countless other endeavors; even after retiring in 2011 from a 36-year long career at Alcon Labs. He was preceded in death by both parents. Survivors: Roy is survived by wife, Libby Walker Anderson; son, Roy "Andy" Leonard Anderson III; and daughter, Emily Elizabeth Killoran.

Betty Lou Applegate, 82 years and 2 months, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. She was born Betty Lou Copeland on Jan. 26, 1933, in Kingfisher, Okla. Betty's passion throughout her life was to care for her family. She did this well. For her family, she was always there for them, nurturing and teaching. Betty enjoyed sewing and needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Zelma Copeland; a brother, Donald Copeland; and a sister, Doris Hayes. Survivors: Her husband of 62-plus years, Jack Applegate; her only child, Michelle Mayhand and husband, Michael; grandson, Waylon Johnson and wife, Melissa; great-grandchildren, Luke Bednar, Kelee Bednar and Taylor Renee Johnson; and her brothers, Vernon Copeland and Raymond Copeland.
