Jose Rodela Obituary
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel.
Joe was born July 8, 1928, in Del Rio. He married Molly V. Rodela.
The family would like to thank Samaritan Hospice and the nursing staff at the Courtyard of Fort Worth for all the care they gave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Juanita Rodela; grandson, Deben T. Hernandez; and great-grandson, A.J. Rodriguez.
Survivors: Daughters, Sharon Hernandez and Cynthia Gonzalez and husband, Gene; son, Mike Rodela and wife, Melinda; grandchildren, Stacie Hernandez, Kelli Longwith, Amy Rodriguez and husband, John, Joah Rodela, Natasha Thomas and Taylor Moore; great-grandchildren, Gavyn T. George, Marley Rodriguez, Zane Rodriguez and Azlin Thomas; sister, Antonia Perales; brothers, George Rodela and John Rodela and wife, Irene; and former son-in-law, Ben M. Hernandez.

Jose was in the Nursing Home at the Courtyards of Fort Worth with my Father. What an honor it has been for my family to have been apart of Jose's life. He always made us laugh and just filled our hearts with pure joy and happyness each time he spoke, we truely have learned more about life knowing Jose. We are so glad that our paths have passed with Jose and his family. May God bless each family member.
