Bryce Raub Obituary

Bryce Kameron Raub, 22 months, of Grand Prairie was granted his angel wings Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, following a lifelong fight with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whom Bryce had touched in some small way, throughout his short, yet very memorable life Funeral: Services are private. Memorials: His memory may be honored with a gift to The Tiny Sparrow Foundation, tinysparrowfoundation.org. Bryce was born March 2, 2009, in Dallas. Bryce's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that being happy and enjoying life far exceed the quantity of time in which you live it. His gentle smile, and big blue eyes, could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, he spoke louder then any of us ever could. With Bryce's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile, he will always remain forever in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. Survivors: His loving parents, George and Amy Raub and older brother, Wade. His memory is carried on by his grandparents, George and Carol Raub of Michigan, Kathy Mahnken of Texas and Gerry Mahnken of Florida; aunts and uncles, Betsy Raub, Tracey and Jose Valdivieso and cousin Brian; and his godparents, Karen and Adam Jackman. He also leaves behind many wonderful caregivers and friends at Cook Children's Medical Center.

I do not know any of you, but this sweet angelbaby just grabbed my heart. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that Heaven is such a sweet place with Bryce an other beautiful babies there. I am a Mom of 5 and a MeMe of 13. My heart breaks for your pain. We too, have 2 young granddaughters who have brain tumors and I am so encouraged by their faith and resilience. The lessons they teach US are amazing. I pray that God just embraces all of you with His Grace and Comfort as you mourn the young life of this courageous boy. Trust His love for you all. In His Grip
