Cleo Carroll Obituary

Cleo Calvert Carroll, 103, also known as "CC," "Buddy," "Daddy Pop," "Pop" and just "Pops" at Granbury Care Center, went to be with his Lord on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Alton Byrd, pastor of Frisco Liberty Baptist Church in Frisco, and assisted by the Rev. Christian Harris. Interment 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm. Visitation: Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday via a "celebration of life video" at Wiley Funeral Home. Cleo was born Sept. 19, 1908, in Milford to Robert Lee Carroll and Monnie Martha Baily Carroll. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Since this very special man was blessed with warmth, wisdom, kindness and courtesy, he was loved by everyone. The family would like to express their deep gratitude for all the care and concern provided by the entire staff of Granbury Care Center and its caregivers, RNs, LVN and CNAs, as well as to those friends acquired during the past three years. His parents; his wife, Martha Pearl Boyd Carroll; and two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Survivors: Still remaining to cherish his memories are his daughters, Anita Case Partin of Irving and Delores Jean Cox of Wildwood, Mo.; sons, Robert Lee Carroll and Eddie Joe Carroll, both of Granbury; son-in-law, Randall Cox of Wildwood, Mo.; daughters-in-law, Cherry Carroll and Traci Carroll, both of Granbury; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other family members; and many friends.
